Baggage size
The baggage policy, whether in the hold or in the cabin, differs depending on the airline, the maximum dimensions correspond to the size of the luggage compartments of the aircraft.
Before packing your bags, we advise you to check and comply with the weight and dimensions given by your company and the safety restrictions. Otherwise, you may be required to pay additional charges at the airport if your luggage is larger or heavier than what is permitted or be confiscated unauthorized items.
Below are some general rules concerning the regulation of luggage.Hand luggage (in the cabin)
Size limit : 55x35x20cm (height+ length +width)
Weight limit: 8-10 kg max
Safety and comfort on board are the two main priorities in air travel. That's why rules concerning hand baggage are very clear: you should only carry essential items -personal effects, laptop or table, camera or other electronic devices and valuable items. Everything else must be placed in the hold.
As a general rule, any passenger - except children under 2 years of age - may carry one piece of luggage in the cabin (called hand luggage). Its size varies by company. For babies (under 2 years), a baggage allowance can be granted by the company to carry changing bags, booster seats, cane strollers etc.
Note, the handbag is considered by some airlines as a full cabin luggage. Some allow you to carry an accessory in addition to your carry-on bag: small handbag, laptop, camera or camera. Clothes covers are generally considered as a cabin baggage, sometimes limited in size: consult your airline.Hold luggage (or "check-in luggage")
Size: max 158 cm
Weight limit per luggage: 23 kg max.
According to the company (especially on low cost airlines) or class of reservation of your ticket you may have to pay extra for the hold luggage. Similarly, special conditions can be granted by companies for specific equipment (golf, boards, diving), so do inquire with the companies.
